LIPA Presentation

Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), and the DesignLightsTM Consortium are sponsoring free lighting training on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in Melville, Long Island, New York.

 

By attending this training you will learn how to save energy for your customers while providing quality lighting.

 

“Designing Lighting Projects with High Performance T8 (HPT8) Systems” will cover:

  • What HPT8 Systems are
  • Best practices for designing with HPT8 Systems
  • How does ballast factor (BF) affect energy costs?
  • T8 vs. T5
  • Partnering with your Electric Utility on the Energy Efficiency Programs

 

The presenter, Matt Collins, LC, IES has over 30 years experience in the lighting industry.  He will present interactive training based on his experience working with lighting manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and designers, and as owner of lighting sales agency.  Mr. Collins, ICF International, is a lighting consultant to the US EPA and, the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP).  He grew up on Long Island, and most of his career has been spent in the Long Island and New York City area.  He is currently an active Board Member and Treasurer of the Boston IES Section.
