Fundamentals of Lighting 2013





Long Island IES will be providing Fundamentals of Lighting training in March.  This 10-hour instruction program (spread out over four evenings) is d
esigned to give anyone who works with lighting and energy the practical knowledge to function in today’s lighting environment. Architects, engineers, salespeople, construction professionals, maintenance personnel and energy managers can all benefit from the course material.

Dates and Times:

  • Part 1: March 7, 6 to 8:30 PM
  • Part 2: March 14, 6 to 8:30 PM
  • Part 3: March 21, 6 to 8:30 PM
  • Part 4: April 4, 6 to 8:30 PM

 Course Curriculum:

History of Light, Defining Light, Vision, Color, Light Sources and Ballasts, Luminaires and Controls, Photometry, Lighting Calculations. Each evening, a light snack/dinner will be provided.

Each participant will receive a Fundamentals of Lighting resource binder, which has to be ordered in advance. So please complete your registration and payment by February 22.  Failure to pay my February 22 will result in your resource binder arriving after training will have commenced.
